TEAM SHELBURNE COUNTY MEETING

November 2, 2007


The meeting was called to order by the Chairperson at 10:00 a.m., in the Conference Room, in the Administrative Centre, in Barrington, N.S., with the following members present:

- Louise Halliday, Warden of the Municipality of Barrington, Chairperson
- Mayor Parker Comeau, Town of Shelburne
- Warden Paulette Scott, Municipality of Shelburne
- Councillor Howard Roszel, Town of Lockeport
- Mayor Leigh Stoddard, Town of Clark’s Harbour

Also present were:

-   Joyce Young, Town of Lockeport
-   Brian Crowell, Town of Clark’s Harbour
-   Reg Ridgley, Municipality of Shelburne
-   Brian Holland, Municipality of Barrington


CLOSED SESSION

The meeting entered into Closed Session for the purpose of discussing progress in the legal action initiated by Ocean Produce International.

After completing their discussion of this matter, the meeting then entered into Open Session.

Moved by Warden Scott and seconded by Mayor Comeau that Team Shelburne County write to the Provincial Minister of Economic Development requesting that he “order” the South West Shore Development Authority to pay out the remaining funds relative to the Shelburne Youth Centre property to the Team Shelburne County members, and that this order be issued before November 22, 2007 as this is the date for which this matter will be proceeding before a court.  

Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Mayor Stoddart and seconded by Councillor Roszel that Team Shelburne County request to be put on the agenda of the next meeting of the Board of Directors of the South West Shore Development Authority for the purpose of discussing the disbursement of the remaining funds from the disposal of the former Shelburne Youth Centre property, to the municipal units in Shelburne County.

Motion carried unanimously.
