EMERGENCY MEETING OF COUNCIL

An Emergency meeting of Council was called to order by the Warden at 9:35 p.m., in the Conference Room, in the Administrative Centre, in Barrington, N.S., with the following members present:
- Warden Sterling Belliveau
- Deputy Warden Eddie Nickerson
- Councillor Angus Atkinson
- Councillor Dwayne Hunt
- Councillor Wayne Smith
- Brian Holland, Municipal Clerk
Absent was Councillor Fred Bower due to work commitments and Councillor Louise Halliday due to vacation.
CLOSED SESSION
The meeting began in closed session in order to discuss a legal matter.
At 9:50 p.m. the meeting entered open session.
Having reviewed a proposed agreement between the Municipality and Joanna Elizabeth Goreham regarding the remediation of her property at 6539 Highway #3, Wood's Harbour, members agreed to amend the agreement in paragraph 2, "Water Supply from the Well", to indicate that Ms. Goreham will have a six (6) month period to evaluate whether or not the light is eliminating the presence of coliforms in her well water.
Moved by D. Hunt and seconded by A. Atkinson that Council approve the proposed agreement with Joanna Elizabeth Goreham regarding the remediation of her property, as amended in paragraph 2, and without prejudice as indicated in the agreement, and including the accompanying release to be signed by Ms. Goreham.
Motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned by mutual consent of members at 9:52 p.m.
