Tom Johnson
DVD Producer &Principal Photographer
Tom Johnson graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, and soon thereafter had his first photographic assignment…taking pictures through the periscope of a nuclear submarine. After completing his naval service, Tom’s career led him to senior executive positions with both U.S. and French companies where he was responsible for developing major marketing and advertising campaigns.
Although residents of Lynchburg, Va., Tom and his wife Jenny spend every summer at their seaside cottage on Nova Scotia’s Atlantic coast. They recently finished a comprehensive "hands on" restoration of their circa 1840 home, and are now ready to enjoy the road less traveled.
"In this DVD I have tried to capture just a part of Nova Scotia’s unforgettable landscape, and to present some of the "sea people" I have come to know. They tell me that their way of life is changing fast. I feel honored to be able to photograph it, and to present it to you with one of Atlantic Canada’s finest recording artists."
Tom Johnson 2008Music for Life….My Journey
Singer song-writer Lynne Crowell was raised in the picturesque village of Barrington N.S. At an early age Lynne knew singing would play a very
significant role in her life. She has been recognized for her many recordings, a lifetime of volunteerism as well as her 2007 induction to the Nova Scotia
Country Music Hall of Fame. Lynne’s dedication to family, friends, and her community are evident in everything she has ever done. Her long time
Companion, her Daughter and Granddaughter remain the focus of Lynne’s attention, and she wraps her loved ones in the melody of her life.
Lynne continues to share her gift and represent Nova Scotia’s music and way of life. A personal note: "As I travel along my musical journey, I am
sincerely grateful for the support I have been given by my friends and neighbors in the Barrington Municipality. This DVD has given us all another
way to connect with visitors to our area and I am proud to be part of this project. I invite you to experience
the beauty of this place that holds my heartand look forward to meeting you on a pleasant path, here by the Edge of the Sea."
