forest. A broad area of 1,000 year old fossil tree stumps still rooted
in the original soil is exposed on the low tide flats here near the
southernmost
tip of Nova Scotia. |
The
50 Cape Cod families who founded Barrington Township came together to
build
a community meeting house in 1765. It served as a religious meeting
house
for all preachers of the Gospel as well as a place to hold community
meetings
and elections. |
