The Barrington & Area Ground Search and Rescue organization is made up of volunteers who donate their time, energy and skill to search for people who have gone missing in wooded areas or along our coastlines. They often assist with community evacuations. Their base location is at 3329 Highway 3, Barrington Passage. Our group of dedicated municipal staff, community volunteers and our valuable community partners aim to ensure the safety and security of our residents, their property and the environment by providing for a prompt and coordinated response to an emergency. There are three fire departments found within our Municipality. These are made up of dedicated community volunteers who receive training and upgrading certification to assist them in the valuable work that they do.
