Shelburne County Senior Safety & Services

This program is designed to help our seniors stay safe, improve their quality of life, maintain their independence, promote living at home or within the community, and enhance community participation through volunteerism. Senior Services was created in April of 2010, in partnership with Nova Scotia Department of Health and the five Shelburne County municipal units. In January 2011 the Senior Safety programs were introduced by the Shelburne County Senior Safety & Services Society in partnerships with the Nova Scotia Department of Seniors, NS Department of Justice and the two Shelburne County RCMP detachments.
