Nova Scotia Volunteer Week, April 18-24, 2021
During Volunteer Week in Nova Scotia, April 18-24, 2021, we celebrate volunteerism and thank and honour people and organizations who donate their time to help fellow citizens and support the causes in which they believe. Volunteer Week also serves to reinforce the human values in which that volunteering represents and increases awareness of the importance of volunteerism to our communities.
The Barrington Municipal Recreation Department is encouraging you to nominate one individual (can be a couple) from your community group, who you believe is deserving of being recognized.

When filling out the nomination form, please list your nominee's past and present volunteer work. Please be as detailed as you can, as the information you provide will be read at our Municipal Volunteer Recognition Ceremony on April 22. 2021. (Format TBA)
To ensure your nominee will be considered for the Provincial Volunteer Representative, please return your nomination form to the Recreation Department by Friday, February 12, 2021. The Municipal Council will select one individual from all nominees received. This volunteer will be invited to attend the Provincial Volunteer Award Virtual Ceremony on April 26, 2021.
Any nominations received after February 12th, will still be included for invitation and recognition at the Municipal Volunteer Recognition Ceremony but must be submitted by April 15, 2021. .
