The Recreation Department offers recreational programs and events for people of all ages. Full time staff includes the Recreation Director and the Active Living Coordinator. Students are hired in the summer months to run the Day Camp programs and additional recreational activities and events.

The following positions may be availale this summer at Barrington Recreation. Jobs are dependent on approval of the department budget.
Program Coordinator: 15 weeks - starts May 11th
Youth Active Leadership Coordinator: 15 weeks - starts May 11th
Aquatics Coordinator: 15 weeks - starts May 11th
Day Camp Leader: 9 weeks - starts June 29th
Aquatic Instructor/Lifeguard: 9 weeks - starts June 29th

We offer ongoing programs year round, such as soccer, t-ball, Day Camps, Ballet and Kung Fu as well as events such as the NS Marathon, Lobster Festival , Terry Fox run, Christmas at the Causeway and more!
