
In accordance with Section 6(2) of the Municipal Housing Corporations Act and Section 2(3) of By‐laws of Bay Side Home Corporation, the Municipality of Barrington is accepting applications from individuals wishing to serve on the Bay Side Home Board of Directors to fill a vacancy currently existing on the Board.

The Municipality of Barrington is accepting Expressions of Interest from individuals from the Municipality wishing to serve on the Audit Committee.
There will be two (2) citizen vacancies on the Committee, effective April 2021.
The Committee oversees the external audit of the Municipality’s financial statements and the resolution of audit findings. The Committee also reviews internal controls, accounting systems and risk management.
Barrington Municipal Council is considering repealing By‐law No. 11 “Animals” and replacing it with By‐law No. 11 “Animal Control By‐law”.
The newly drafted by‐law provides more detail on what is required when an animal is impounded, how long it will be held, etc.By‐law No. 11 “Animals” to be repealed and the redrafted By‐law No. 11“Animal Control By‐law” may be inspected at the Municipal Office, located at 2447, Highway 3, Barrington, NS, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30p.m., Monday to Friday.
Any representation by interested persons concerning these by‐laws may be made at the January 25, 2021, Council Meeting, which will be held in the Council Chambers, in the Administrative Centre, Barrington, NS.
This matter will be discussed at 7:30 p.m.
Barrington Municipal Council is considering the adoption of proposed amendments to By‐law No. 25 to remove “Agape Youth Café from Schedule “A” as they no longer own the property identified as AAN 01612204.
