Nova Scotia Heritage Day

Celebrated this year on Monday, February 15, Nova Scotia Heritage Day is an annual reminder of our storied past and an opportunity to honour the remarkable people, places and events that have contributed to this province’s unique heritage.

The 2016 Honouree is Joseph Howe, the self-taught owner of the Novascotian who laid the foundation for freedom of the press. Visit 2016 Heritage Day Activities and Experiences for details about in-person and online activities dedicated to Joseph Howe and Heritage Day.
